Here at Golden Grove we believe in making your stay as enjoyable as possible by providing everything you would expect from a brand new and luxury authentic log cabin . If you want peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings you will love it.
Located in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park in beautiful ancient native woodland by a babbling stream, just outside of a small hamlet of houses and yet only a pleasant 2 mile walk or a 3 mile drive from Whitby.
Golden Grove Log Cabin is a one off built in 2016. It has running hot and cold water, full central heating, shower and log burning stove. It has been furnished and equipped with all new items and no expense has been spared.
This is the real experience in a proper log cabin made of wood and not just a static caravan made to look like a cabin.
The cabin has been cleverly designed to accommodate 4 to 5 people in 2 bedrooms;
Bedroom 1 has a very comfortable double bed while bedroom 2 has a triple bed ( a small double with a bunk above) so it would ideally sleep a family with 2 or 3 children or 2 couples.
There is a well equipped kitchen with a 2 ring gas hob, a powerful combi microwave, a fridge freezer and sink with hot and cold water.
There is a shower room with a glass shower cubicle, flushing toilet and wash hand basin and heated towel rail.
There is a lounge dining area with comfortable seating, digital flatscreen TV/DVD player and a fabulous log burning stove.
The floor, walls and roof have commercial insulation so you'll never be cold whatever the time of year and is ideally suited to cosy winter retreats drinking hot chocolate round the fire.

Valley View is a working smallholding with sheep, pigs, hens and ducks. It is run by Tony and Sue who live in a cottage 200m away and are available to help with advice on where to go and what to do. We are there to offer support if needed but otherwise will be invisible and will respect your privacy.
If you are interested we will show you around the smallholding and can talk to you about the animals, which depending on the time of year can include young lambs and little chicks which is especially good for children
Pets are allowed in the log cabin but are not allowed in the bedrooms. Dogs can walk off the lead in the woods but must be kept away from the sheep and other animals. You will have exclusive use of the 2 acres of woodland and the stream.
Golden Grove is one mile from the pretty riverside village of Ruswarp. It is in a pretty area and ideal for walkers with many footpaths starting at the front door. The old railway/cinder track which is a popular route from Whitby to Scarborough is only half a mile away. The access to the cinder track is not suitable for pushchairs. We live in a friendly close knit community where people know each other and greet strangers so you can be assured of a warm welcome. There is no crime and hardly any traffic so you can walk around knowing you are safe.
The local area is a haven for wildlife and there are plenty of Roe Deer, Badgers, owls and other birds so don't be surprised if you see them.
Whitby is a fantastic place full of quirky interesting shops, warm and welcoming, pubs and restaurants with superb food. It is popular all year round and is ideal for an out of season visit when it's not so busy.
The North York Moors is renowned for its stunning heather moorland, rolling hills and old unspoiled landscapes. Whether you want to see where Heartbeat was filmed, walk to the nearby ice cream farm, eat fish and chips in The world famous Magpie Cafe or catch your own on a Mackerel fishing trip then give it a try
