A gem of a country pub on a quiet lane to nowhere, this long, white
painted 15th Century drovers cottage, perched on a grassy bank in
the village of Newholm just a few miles from the coast and Whitby
Golf Club, is the kind of hostelry you would take your American cousin
to, had you got one.
Over the door is the legend:
"We in this hive are all alive, good liquor makes our money.
If you are dry come in and try the flavour of our honey."
Now, who could resist an invitation like that?

THE PUB
Our famous country pub is pictured left with open fire and,
as always, a packed 'specials board' to choose from before moving
through to the restaurant. Eg...

THE RESTAURANT
The dining room, to seat 50 persons, serves an a la carte menu
for a small intimate party or for larger functions and has a
warming open fire.
The food is of high quality as recommended in "Egon Ronay
Guide".
Should one not require a full meal, snacks are available at
any time.

THE ACCOMODATION
All our rooms are en-suite and fully coordinated. They include
Colour TV, Courtesy Tray, Central Heating and the Beehive Special
Yorkshire Breakfast is available to all guests.

LOCATION
We're situated in the tranquil, picturesque, rural village of
Newholm cum Dunsley, 5 minutes from Whitby, Sandsend, The North
Yorkshire Moors & Whitby Golf Course.
Ye Olde Beehive Inne appears to have been a row of cottages,
after the Coxwold architecture. It was originally a drovers
inn when this part of the North Riding sent herds of cattle
to York. This authentic old inn provides every comfort and wines,
spirits and liqueurs as well as beers are in abundance.
