Robert’s work is impressionistic and he strives to reflect the quality and variation in light in his paintings. His passion for the sea and his interpretation of coastal scenery, beaches and harbour scenes led to his election of membership to the Royal Society of Marine Artists in 1993.
Robert established his home studio in Sleights in 2000, which he 'Opens' on occasional weekends throughout the year or by appointment.
He holds evening classes locally, weekend workshops in the Summer and demonstrations for Art Societies countrywide.
Robert is the author of 3 instructional books and DVDs.
