Comment:   Just spent three nights in the two bed caravan this time. Once again caravan clean, comfortable. Owners very helpful even hosed down our dog. It has a new play area with tyre swing, climbing net, bars and large slide that my boys aged 9 and 7 loved. Lovely Sunday dinner too.

Comment:   We have just returned from a 5 night stay. We booked 4 but loved it so much we stayed an extra night! The caravan was immaculate and fantastically well equiped. All the crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment we needed (we did buy a large pan, as we cooked a big meal) Sue even left a basket of complimentary toiletries. We were welcomed by some lovely treats including amazing fresh homemade scones. The beds, bedding and pillows were comfortable and sue even took the time to ask if our little one was a girl or boy so she could put her princess bedding on! Our little ones loved the little play area and it really does feel very safe. The cows in the field next to the caravan delighted the children. We will most definitely be returning to see sue on the farm again soon. Thank you for a lovely time xx

Comment:   It was my sister's birthday. We spent 1 hour in Glaisdale looking for York House (Dad's bad driving.) It was easilly worth it though as we entered the caravan. There was a little suprise on the beds (mmmmm chocolate) as well as a pack of Maltesers for Lauren's birthday. 5 minutes later Sue came knocking on the door with a plate of scones (my favourites) with cream and jam. It was a little bit rainy but that didn't let us down. The caravan had so much stuff that we didn't need to bring hardly anything. Throughout the week there was plenty of thrilling things to see and do in Whitby. We also travelled to the Egton Show. We went to the Magpie and you can tell it's one of the best resteraunts in England. Dad suggested going to scarborough, but I said we were here to enjoy whitby. One of the highlights of the day was comming home to see the cows comming out onto the field. There were sights to see in glaisdale as well. The bridge and the pub. Sue's cooking was unbelievable and easilly better than mine. Harry loved the little puppies in the shed. Sooo sweet. There was a thunderstorm but It was easilly forgotten as we still look back on a wonderful holiday. Definately going again.

Comment:   We had a fantastic week at York House Farm this August. The caravan was lovely and very much a home from home, and the warm scones with cream and jam shortly after we arrived were to die for! (as are the farmhouse kitchen meals). Sue is an amazing lady and nothing seems to be too much trouble for her - even going as far as to let the kids see the latest litter of Labrador pups that had recently been born. It is brilliantly located for Whitby and Sandsend Beach, about 15-20 mins away. When at the caraven we never really saw the kids, which is a testament to how much there is to do there, both inside and outside. They were also fascinated with the cows and looked forward to when they returned to the field by the van at the end of the day. There was milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine upon arrival, both were really welcome, and there was also some chocolate and a birthday card awaiting our youngest daughter who happened to have her birthday on the day of our arrival. Weather was absolutely fantastic, the only time it rained was when we arrived, and on the day of our departure (that softened the depression of having to go back home a little). All in all one of our best ever holidays and we are going to book up for 2014 (can't wait!!. Thank you Sue.

Comment:   30th June 2012. Just returned from a week in Moorland Paradise. York Farm Caravans at Glaisdale is an ideal location. Coastal sightseeing from Whitby north to Redcar or south to Flamborough Head. Also inland to explore the moors and visit Goathland (Heartbeat's Aidensfield) The caravan was spotless with all mod cons and a few little extra personal touches from Sue. Bottle of wine, milk in the fridge, quilted loo roll and a surprise knock at the door about half an hour after arrival saw Sue with a plate of delicious home made hot scones topped with cream and strawberries. Panoramic views from almost every window interrupted only by Cattle, Sheep, Pheasants, Rabbits and if your very lucky even a Deer. Certainly preferential to your usual noisy crammed caravan site. If you're using Sat Nav you'll need to continue for about 1/2 mile after it has told you that you've reached your destination. All together an excellent holiday and we will certainly put York Farm on our list of places to return to.

Comment:   We have stayed in the three bedroom caravan each year since 2006 and find the location beautiful and peaceful. It is such a contrast to where we live and that is why we like it so much. The farm is fascinating and we have always been made to feel most welcome by Sue and Martin. The caravans are well equipped, modern, warm and spotless. Sue's home made dinners are wonderful and enough for the largest appetite. Glaisdale is a gem in the Yorkshire Dales and we have been very lucky to enjoy staying there. Many thanks for the relaxing times spent at York house, we will certainly be returning.

Comment:   July 2011. Had a lovely stay in one of Sue's spotlessly clean caravans. In beautiful location, and yes the freshly cooked scones were delicious. Found farm easily with Sue's directions. In a great location for visiting the area. You must have one of Sue's home cooked dinners. Wow. Although we had no children with us. It was very child friendly, with swings and slide, all on a well kept lawn which would have made wimbledon envious. Thanks Sue. We will definately be returning.

Comment:   June 2010: We have just returned from a delightful weeks holiday staying in one of these caravans. If you want a quite and peaceful holiday this is the place to stay. The caravan was spotlessly clean, fully equipped, there was even fresh milk in the fridge on our arrival and the current TV supplement. The caravan was modern and could sleep 6 persons. Just a few minutes after we arrived Sue knocked at the door and presented us with fresh, homemade scones with fresh cream and strawberries. There was a menu in the caravan with a selection of delicious hot meals cooked by Sue in her farmhouse kitchen and deliveerd to the caravan piping hot [We can certainly recommend you eat at the caravan]. The caravans are sited at the rear of the farm buildings and offers delightful views over miles of rolling Yorkshire Dale scenery. The only noise you will hear is the sound of farm animals, and birds. Glaisedale is a beautiful part of North Yorkshire and enhanced by the friendly welcome Sue greeted us with and the delighful accomodation and setting. Many thanks for a wonderful weeks holiday we certainly hope to return very soon.
