Charlie's Living Van - Whitby Online

Charlie's Living Van

CHarlie's Van overlooks the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway and is conveniently situated between Grosmont village and the best little pub in the world at Beckhole. The van spent many years in use as a roadman's living van, attending local steam rallies at Pickering, Masham and Helmsley before it was retired.

The surprisingly spacious accommodation sleeps two and comes with a solid fuel stove, cooker and Victorian privy close by. Dogs are most welcome.

Private parking and access to wildflower meadows.
The van has a relaxing, rural setting. You may often see deer, owls and other wildlife. There are plenty of walks in the area.

The oldest independent Co-op store in the country is in Grosmont, a fifteen minute walk away. Easily accessible by public transport via Grosmont to Whitby, Pickering or the Esk Valley, there are lots of places to visit around the Yorkshire moors or coast.

There is a lot of industrial heritage surrounding the area, as well as the steam railway. The van has a library of books and no television or you can just discover Grosmont time.

Open all year if the weather is reasonable, weekly lets in the summer.
