SYMPHONETIX is happy to announce the BRITISH PREMIÈRE of the full-length feature film ‘FREYJA’S GIFT' – a romantic psychological drama – shot in and around the town of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast, and produced in DOLBY DIGITAL™ SURROUND SOUND.




Charity Gala screenings will take place at the Whitby Pavilion Theatre on Whitby’s Westcliff, on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th July 2006, with proceeds to be split 50/50 between Whitby RNLI Lifeboat (Reg. Charity Nr. 20963) and Whitby Dog Rescue (Reg. Charity Nr. 1081121) - Tickets £5. Start 7:30pm.

‘FREYJA’S GIFT’ tells the dramatic story of Whitby composer Andrew Elgin (played by co-director, Nigel Ward) and his muse - Freyja van Doorn (played by beautiful 17-year-old local actress Eleanor Risdon). The cast comprises a total of 17 members of the Whitby community. The film is underscored by a rich spectrum of Andrew Elgin’s symphonic music (mp3 compilation available on request), as well as a number of his piano works and more avant garde pieces.
