Traditional Fare

Post by Nigel » Wed Jun 15, 2011 9:08 am

I've just been reading a very interesting book called The Taste of Britain, and I came across two references to Whitby. Whitby Gingerbread, tradition has it that its been made there since the 1700s and has been made by Bothams since it was established in 1865. The Whitby Lemon Bun has also been produced by Elizabeth Botham since 1865, I was wondering if there was any other traditional fare exclusive to Whitby?
