FRYUP CHURCH

Post by TANGO57 » Fri Aug 05, 2011 11:45 am

I wonder if you could help. My dad was christened at Fryup Church in 1928. He recently returned to revisit it and found it wasn't there anymore. We have heard a rumour that it was transported to America. Is this true and if so do you have any information about this?

I look foward to hearing from you.

There's never been a 'Fryup' church.

There has been however a chapel (methodist I think) up Great Fryup, but it was converted many years ago into a dwelling house. Perhaps this is why your father couldn't identify it.
