We will be back in Whitby shortly. Cant wait. Just hope the swing bridge is behaving itself this year.

Were you there too when it was off? We had a week of it out of our fortnight - still, my wife and I rather enjoyed our trips on the Libby over from the landing stage just outside our Church St cottage - really nice guy who operates that boat.

Have a great time, we're back in September.

Hi Dave, yes our first week wastaken up by queuing for buses or boats. it fair took a chunk out of our days. what arelief when it reopened. we do tend to take things for granted till they're not there. Really looking forward to being back. :D

There is a magic about Whitby, undoubtedly. But unfortunately there is a problem that seems more common during the evening. If police were given the power to deal with problems instead of being tied to all the crap that they have nowadays, maybe the problem would be snuffed out. But it does happen everywhere.

Still, I love the place.
