If you have tried recently Libertygoth, this has not been the best time unfortunately as the organiser has had a bereavement. If you try again you may get more info that way to work within the WGW as part of the Bazaar. Alternatively, you could contact The Resolution which also hosts stalls, as does...

Heathen's right - coming from another heathen mind! ;) I went to St. Hilda's school and hence to the church there - looking up at the two from Bagdale there's St. Hilda's on the left. St. Hilda's CofE is the one near the leisure centre.

Good luck for the walk - a friend of ours had a rescue English bull terrier who had been badly mistreated and it was heartrending to watch her, so I'm glad on a personal level you're doing good things!

Oh, fabulous - I hadn't heard about that. Thanks for the link!

If anyone's on The Modern Antiquarian (a GREAT site - one of Julian Cope's projects which has evolved through much public input) they are on there too.

The only one I know of in the area (apart from the ones in the church at Kilburn) is in the church in Castleton - http://www.eskvalley.com/castleton/ I don't know of any in Whitby itself though. The visitor centre will doubtless be helpful in locating more for you! http://www.robertthompsons.co.uk/ ...

We have snow on the mountains too - cue somebody asking a customer of mine "if that is real snow?" No, it's icing...

Re: "Shutting Up Shop"

It's on offer at Amazon at present. This in itself is quite sad - the days of asking Holman's to order you in a copy are more-or-less past with the easy purchasing on Amazon and the like! One more reason why these kinds of traditional shops have continued to close down (though I much prefer Amazon ...

We might be at the highest point in our village in the foothills so get the worst of what's on offer, but the presence of the mountains provides a strange little microclimate which often provides the...
