The cahrity match takes place on the Sunday of every goth weekend and has run since 2003, I think, and has made thousands for charity. We all pay for the privilege of playing on the hallowed Turnbull turf - this money goes to WTFC - while we do collections/admission/raffle/tombola etc and decide on ...

The Gazette won 2-1.
The Goths were 1-0 through a penalty but the superior fitness and skill?!? eventually shined through.
About £250 was collected during the game and a raffle and tombola raised about the same amount - both lots of cash to go to the Vinny Fund which has featured in the paper ...

You could try Whitby Archives in Flowergate mate. I think during the winter, it is open Monday to Wednesday. Try calling them on 821364. Either that or write to the editor at the Whitby Gazette and they may publish your letter and local people could get in touch with you regarding anything they know...
